Development Timeline

We work with you to meet your time frame, but it does take an average of five months from the time the product is approved, the contract is signed, and the deposit received, until the product is in a U.S. warehouse ready for distribution. This timeline may vary with customers’ corporate procedures and approvals. More detail is outlined below:

Creative development (Two months)

Normal creative development should take one to three months which includes one month for producing a sample which you would be required to sign off an approval prior to the contract being signed.

Creative development considerations:

These are things we consider in the development process and work with you to assure we design the exact glass or ceramic you’re looking for, including: Capacity in ounces
* External dimensions
* Type, or style, of glass
* Materials and finish
* Logo or decal (handpainted or screen printed)
* Quantity
* Date product must be in the distribution center

Production development (Three months)

It’s difficult to say just how long your pieces will need in the production process. It depends on quantity, the type of design, the process, as well as the materials. The formal project start actually takes place when the contract is signed and a 35% deposit or Letter of Credit is issued.

The scheduling process takes one month and at times, can be reduced or eliminated for an additional cost.

For the actual production time, we allow one to two months depending on the quantity and design of the product. For example, quantities under 50,000 can be done in one month, while a quantity of up to 100,000 can be done between one and two months. Over 100,000 usually needs two months in the factory.

Projects of over a million may still be able to be produced within a relatively short time by coordinating production with multiple factories. And because of our experience with those factories, we can coordinate and control the quality so everything is consistent.

Shipping from China (Four to six weeks)

In addition to the U.S. market, we currently we ship to Spain, Italy, France as well as many other ports. We coordinate all the transfers and international paperwork for shipping from the factory in China to the distribution center of your choice, in the country of your choice.

Shipping from China to ports around the world can be done in as little as three weeks by paying a premium for a faster ship. This amount comes to about $500 per container.

Other considerations

There are certain times of the year when production time takes a little longer. For example, factories are generally closed the entire month of February for the Chinese New Year, and production time is slower from May through August when the Christmas production rush is in process.
